Brief History
Ibanda-Kyerwa National Park, gazetted in 2019, spans 305 km² in northwest Tanzania near the Rwanda border. Upgraded from a game reserve, it protects savanna and woodland ecosystems along the Kagera River. Managed by TANAPA, the park is a refuge for antelopes, elephants, and rare roan antelopes, offering a remote and pristine safari experience.
