Sample Itinerary
Day 1: Moshi/Arusha to Machame Camp – Begin the Climb
Depart from Moshi or Arusha after breakfast, driving to Machame Gate (1,800m). Trek through rainforest to Machame Camp (3,000m), about 5-6 hours. Set up camp and overnight. Meals: Lunch, Dinner
Day 2: Machame Camp to Shira Camp – Moorland Trek
After breakfast, ascend through heath and moorland to Shira Camp (3,840m), about 4-5 hours. Enjoy views of the Shira Plateau and Kibo Peak. Overnight at Shira Camp. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Day 3: Shira Camp to Barranco Camp – Acclimatization Day

Day 4: Barranco Camp to Barafu Camp – Alpine Ascent
Climb the Barranco Wall and trek through alpine desert to Barafu Camp (4,673m), about 6-7 hours. Rest early to prepare for the summit push. Overnight at Barafu Camp. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Day 5: Barafu Camp to Summit and Mweka Camp – Summit Day
Begin the summit push at midnight, reaching Stella Point (5,739m) and Uhuru Peak (5,895m) by sunrise, about 6-8 hours. Descend to Mweka Camp (3,100m), totaling 12-15 hours of trekking. Overnight at Mweka Camp. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Day 6: Mweka Camp to Moshi/Arusha – Final Descent
After breakfast, descend through rainforest to Mweka Gate (1,650m), about 3-4 hours. Receive your summit certificate, enjoy a packed lunch, and transfer back to Moshi or Arusha by late afternoon. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch
